“I found out about the Alliance through the Internet. Here we were trying to start this new business, and to our surprise found out well into the process we had to pay some additional fees not budgeted for. All I knew is that we needed someone to help, and quick, so I began looking on the Internet. By talking to the Alliance they saved us time, and helped push through our permits faster than expected. It was the cooperation between the Alliance and County Planning Department that resolved the issue and made the process easier. I even put a call in to the County Board of Supervisor for my district and received a call back from him within 24 hours. I was impressed. We are from the Bay Area and my husband works for the City of San Jose and that is just unheard of.

I have met my new best friend. I know that I can call the Alliance anytime if I need anything or have any questions regarding my business. I know that they will have the answer or at least put me touch with someone who will. Within two days the Alliance Business Resource Center put together additional information that my husband, Raj and his partner, Jan mentioned they wanted regarding opening another business. And, because of the resources available through the Alliance I'm now considering looking at getting my employees trained through the OJT program, which will cover over 50% of my training costs. The Alliance is an excellent resource!”

The Business Assistance Program provides local business and industry with a resource that can open doors and help companies become more competitive and profitable. The Economic Development Manager works closely with local employers of all sizes to help them identify and resolve any business issues affecting the way they do business.

Ultimately it is the goal of the Business Assistance program to reduce any threats to employers and improve the local business climate so businesses can continue to grow and create new job opportunities in the Stanislaus River Valley.
