The Alliance is charged with serving both the employer and employee needs of the Stanislaus River Valley while effectively partnering and adding value to local economic development programs that currently exist in the area. The Alliance integrates the “one stop” services concept for both employers and prospective employees. Within the Alliance are four key departments that assist businesses of any size.

Workforce Development

The Workforce Training component provides comprehensive workforce development solutions for business. The synergy created by the Alliance of matching qualified candidates with employer needs is creating some innovative approaches to identify and meet specific training needs for new and existing skill areas and providing articulation with all levels of training providers and programs to benefit both employers and job seekers.

Economic Development

The Economic Development division provides a full complement of approaches to identify potential employment opportunities and develop the area’s economy. Staff assists in corporate recruitment, business assistance, entrepreneurial development, business consulting, small business development, international trade and tourism coordination.

Business Resource Center

The Alliance employs an economic development method that is unique and unduplicated in its approach. The Business Resource Center is an important component of that approach. The Alliance Business Resource Center provides professional assistance to corporate prospects and companies seeking information on trends, new products, competition and the cost factors of operating in the Stanislaus River Valley. The Resource Center is equipped to support businesses at every stage of their growth and development.

Small Business Development Center

It’s a goal of many Americans to start and operate their own business, and the Alliance Small Business Development Center is just the resource to make their dreams come true. Much of the SBDC’s assistance is educational in nature designed to help entrepreneur’s make the decisions that lead to financial and personal success. The SBDC assists new and existing businesses in a variety of ways through confidential business consulting, comprehensive managerial training, business plan development and research assistance. The goal of the SBDC is to identify problems before they start.
